Hebrews: The Race to Glory
Hebrews: The Race to Glory

Sundays 9 am Room E

We are each running our own unique race in this life. The book of Hebrews asks: How will you look at the finish line when you see Jesus? Will you finish well? The writer of Hebrews urges us forward with positive encouragements and careful warnings about running the race. The book explores the Christian life, not as a sprint, but as a day-by-day race toward Jesus. Join Scott Laughlin Sunday mornings at 9 am in Room E starting September 10 for this 13 week study. Contact  Dawn at DawnChamberlain@bethelfc.com or 701.232.4476 with questions.

Friends class is a Bible study for adults with developmental disabilities. Lessons are ability-appropriate and use the intellect of the individual as well as music and crafts to encourage the understanding of Bible stories, helping others, prayer, and Jesus Christ. We believe regardless of disability God has equipped all his people to know Him in a personal way. Contact DawnChamberlain@bethelfc.com with any questions or to register.

A Praying Church
A Praying Church

Sundays
January 14 – March 24
9 am
Room E

“A lot of us are asking the question, How do we ‘fix’ the church?’ It’s a good question. But what if God wants us to stop fixing, slow down, and be attentive to him?” Together, we’ll survey praying communities through the ages and into today and discover what—or who—makes them work. We’ll use tools like the prayer menu and the prayer pyramid to explore the how-to’s of praying together, building our practical skills as we build our understanding. The goal of A Praying Church seminar is nothing less than to awaken the sleeping giant, the church, in our midst! Join us for this 11 week study beginning January 14 at 9 am in Room E. Contact DawnChamberlain@bethelfc.com to request a copy of the book ($10) and/or study guide ($10).

Dying and Rising with Jesus
Dying and Rising with Jesus

Sundays, 9 am
April 7-May 19
Room E

Life’s inconveniences, disappointments, and trials can leave us confused, cynical, and eventually bitter. But the apostle Paul traces out the path of dying and rising with Jesus – what Paul Miller calls the “J-Curve” – as the normal Christian life. The J-Curve grounds our journeys not in some abstract idea but in union with Christ and his work of love. Understanding our lives in light of the J-Curve roots our hope, centers our love, and tethers our faith in Christ. Join us, beginning Sunday, April 7 at 9 AM, in this Core Class as we grow in living out the gospel in our suffering in Christ. Books are available for purchase for $20. Contact dawnchamberlain@bethelfc.com for more information or to order a copy of J-Curve: Dying and Rising with Jesus in Everyday Life
